Job summary

Srons Engineers in India specializes in precision CNC machining. The role focuses on setting and operating CNC machines according to production plans and component drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy and process compliance.

Candidate will perform machine and tool offsets, fixture settings, and read engineering drawings with GD&T knowledge. You will participate in process improvement initiatives, maintain records, and support Kaizen activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC setup and programming to meet drawings and tolerances.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T with accuracy.
• Familiar with inspection tools and dimensional verification.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machines per production plan and drawings.

• Read drawings, select tools and determine speeds/feeds for machining.
• Prepare and modify CNC programs/offsets as required for production.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machines as per production plan, component drawings and process requirements.
• Perform machine setting, tool setting, tool offset, work offset and fixture setting.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and GD&T.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, speeds, feeds and machining parameters.
• Prepare and modify CNC programs/offsets as required for production and dimensional corrections.
• Conduct first-piece inspection after machine setup and ensure approval before batch production.
• Monitor dimensions and process parameters during production using Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
• Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per drawing/customer specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear, vibration, chatter, dimensional variation and surface-finish problems.
• Minimize rejection, rework, tool consumption and machine downtime.
• Monitor tool life and replace tools/inserts before excessive wear causes rejection.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for process improvement and corrective actions.
• Maintain daily production, inspection and machine-setting records.
• Follow 5S, safety procedures, SOPs, work instructions and quality standards.
• Ensure proper handling of raw material, WIP and finished components.
• Support Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, productivity improvement and rejection reduction activities.
