Job summary

V.R. ENGINEERING in Coimbatore invites an experienced CNC setter to join our production team. You will handle CNC turning machine setting and operation, tool setting, offsets, and first-piece setting, reading drawings and applying GD&T.

The role focuses on achieving production targets, improving cycle times, reducing rejects, and supporting 5S and safety standards. ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical/Production is required with at least 3 years of CNC programming and setting experience.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Machining is required.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining programming and setting experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and applying basic GD&T.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced CNC setter to join our production team.

Key Responsibilities

• CNC Turning machine setting & operation
• Tool setting, tool offsets & work offsets
• First-piece setting and dimensional correction
• Reading engineering drawings & basic GD&T
• Tool selection, tool-life monitoring & replacement
• In-process inspection using Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Gauges, etc.
• Achieve production, quality & cycle-time targets
• Reduce rejection, rework, setup time & downtime
• Follow SOP, Control Plan, 5S, Safety & Quality requirements
• Support Kaizen, Poka-Yoke and continuous improvement activities

Candidate Profile

Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Production / Machining

Experience: Min 3 years in CNC machining programming & setting Experience.

Skills: CNC programming, setting, tooling, offsets, drawing reading & measuring instruments

Preferred: Experience in precision-machined components manufacturing.
