Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Machine Shop (CNC) Engineer to lead a shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role acts as the bridge between the shop floor and management, requiring hands-on technical expertise, strong leadership, and clear communication to meet production goals while maintaining a safe work environment.

The candidate will drive daily targets, ensure on-time component delivery, optimize cycle times, and uphold QMS standards.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
• Maintain on time delivery of components as per plan.
• Maintain daily shift efficiency as per the TQM objectives.
• Ensure products are manufactured as per quality standards.
• Reduce rejection rates and implement CAPA (corrective/preventive action).
• Reduce the rework hours.
• Inspections and Quality Checks.
• Troubleshooting and Defect Analysis.
• Adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Communication and Reporting of NCs.
• Improve overall components effectiveness and productivity.
• Optimize machine utilization and cycle times.
• Control operational costs by reducing tool consumption, rework and idle time.
• Achieve targets for cost per component/machine hrs.
• Coordination with Production and Cross-Functional teams.
• Waste Reduction.
• Maximizing Uptime and Minimizing Downtime.
• Emergency Response and Risk Mitigation.
• Plan and allocate manpower effectively across shifts and machines.
• Develop and motivate the shop floor team for performance and skill enhancement.
• Minimize machine downtime through coordination with the maintenance team.
• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules.

Serve as the primary point of contact for their team and is the bridge between the shop floor and management.
