Job summary

Roots Group of Companies in Coimbatore region seeks an experienced Production Manager to oversee planning, execution, and continuous improvement of MC Shop operations. You will lead CNC/VMC machining, tooling management, and KPI-driven production activities to meet targets.

The role requires strong knowledge of Kaizen, 4M, 14Q, QMS, and people management to drive safety, quality and cost effectiveness on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• Relevant experience in CNC/VMC machining and production management.
• Good knowledge of tooling, production planning, troubleshooting, Kaizen, 4M, 14Q, QMS, and people management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily production activities to meet targets, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure efficient machine operation and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Manage cutting tools, fixtures, tool life, and tooling cost optimization.
• Implement Kaizen, 4M analysis, and 14Q to boost productivity and reduce losses.
• Lead production teams, allocate manpower, monitor performance, and develop skills.
• Identify root causes of machine, tooling, and process problems and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, control plans, and audit requirements.
• Maintain shop-floor safety, discipline, housekeeping, and 5S standards.

Key Responsibilities
