Job Description CNC Design Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for a technically proficient CNC Design Engineer responsible for designing and developing CNC machine components, assemblies and systems. The role involves preparing detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, BOMs and design documentation while coordinating with manufacturing, assembly and other technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop CNC machine components, assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Prepare 3D models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Work on machine structures, mechanical assemblies and related components.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, part drawings and engineering documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with required engineering standards, tolerances and manufacturing requirements.
- Review existing designs and identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction and performance enhancement.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, production, assembly and purchase teams for smooth execution of designs.
- Incorporate design changes based on manufacturing and assembly feedback.
- Support prototype development, testing and troubleshooting of machine components.
- Maintain proper revision control and design records.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned design projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or relevant specialization.
- Relevant experience in CNC machine design or machine-tool manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to independently create and modify machine designs.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
