The Cluster Manager MBO will be responsible for driving the overall business performance, sales, profitability, operational excellence and people management of multiple MBO (Multi-Brand Outlet) accounts across the Upper North region.
The role will involve managing key retail partners, achieving business targets, strengthening relationships with MBO partners, ensuring brand visibility and execution, and driving consistent retail standards across the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Sales Management
- Drive sales, revenue and profitability targets across the assigned MBO cluster.
- Prepare and execute annual, quarterly and monthly business plans for the region.
- Monitor store-wise performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Drive like-to-like growth, productivity and sell-through across MBO accounts.
- Analyze sales trends, category performance, stock levels and market potential to improve business outcomes.
- Ensure achievement of primary and secondary sales targets.
2. MBO Partner Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with MBO owners, management and buying teams.
- Drive business expansion through new MBO additions and increased share of business with existing partners.
- Negotiate and align on commercial terms, visibility, stock requirements and business plans in coordination with the concerned teams.
- Understand partner requirements and ensure timely resolution of business issues.
- Conduct regular reviews with key MBO partners and track action points.
3. Retail Operations & Execution
- Ensure effective implementation of brand guidelines and retail standards across MBO counters.
- Monitor store-level execution, VM, product presentation, stock availability and promotional activities.
- Ensure adequate stock availability at counters and minimize stock-outs and ageing inventory.
- Coordinate with the merchandising, planning, supply chain and warehouse teams for timely replenishment.
- Monitor inventory health, sell-through and stock ageing and initiate corrective actions.
4. Market & Competitor Analysis
- Track market trends, customer preferences and competitor activities within the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular market visits to understand local market dynamics and identify business opportunities.
- Benchmark competitor pricing, assortment, promotions and retail execution.
- Share market intelligence and actionable insights with the senior management team.
5. Team Management
- Lead, mentor and develop the team responsible for the assigned MBO cluster.
- Set clear targets and KPIs for team members and review performance regularly.
- Build a performance-oriented and customer-focused team culture.
- Identify training and development needs and ensure capability building.
- Manage team discipline, productivity and field execution.
6. Financial & Commercial Management
- Drive profitable growth while maintaining healthy business margins.
- Monitor discounts, schemes, commercial investments and trade spends.
- Ensure effective utilization of budgets and resources.
- Track outstanding payments and coordinate with internal teams and MBO partners for timely collections.
7. Reporting & Review
- Prepare regular sales, stock, productivity and business performance reports for the assigned region.
- Conduct periodic reviews of MBO performance and develop corrective action plans.
- Present business updates, opportunities and risks to the Regional Manager / Senior Management.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of MIS and business reports.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing or Retail Management will be preferred.
