Job summary

Seraphin Ventures, overseeing the Sera Stays portfolio in Pondicherry, seeks an autonomous Operations Manager to run 8 heritage villas and maisons. You own citywide operations, property condition, owner relationships, the local team, vendors, audits and administration.

You will not perform housekeeping; a full team handles that. You ensure outputs meet standards, manage on-site staff, coordinate repairs, audits, inventories and guest issue resolution, while maintaining logs and handling

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations across all 8 properties, ensuring every property is guestready at all times
• Manage relationships with property owners: regular updates, issue resolution, and representing Sera Stays professionally
• Handle local staffing matters (attendance, scheduling, day-to-day supervision of housekeeping and caretaker staff) and local admin and compliance tasks
• Conduct regular property walkthroughs and audits to catch maintenance issues before guests do
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance (electrical, plumbing, AC, pool, carpentry) with vendors and contractors, including AMC renewals; verify every fix personally
• Run monthly linen, inventory and stock audits with accurate records; manage procurement of supplies and monitor costs
• Act as backup for check-ins, check-outs and guest issues when the Guest Operations Executive is off, sick or overloaded
• Log all work in our systems (ticketing, mobile checklists, WhatsApp updates); if it is not logged, it did not happen
• Handle on-site emergencies and guest complaints promptly

About the role:

You will run our Pondicherry portfolio: 8 heritage villas and maisons operated as premium short-term rentals under the Sera Stays brand. You own the city, property condition, owner relationships, the local team, vendors, audits and administration. Your manager is remote, so this role is for someone who works independently, reports proactively with proof, and solves problems without waiting for instructions. You will not be doing housekeeping yourself; we have a full housekeeping team. You make sure their output meets the standard.
