Job Description

Clinical Assistant is responsible for supporting doctors and clinical teams in routine patient care, clinical documentation, investigations, and coordination of healthcare activities. The includes patient preparation, basic clinical observations, assisting during examinations and procedures, maintaining medical records, coordinating investigations and appointments, communicating with patients and departments, and ensuring timely completion of assigned clinical support activities under appropriate supervision.

• Assist doctors and clinical teams with routine patient care activities.
• Record and maintain basic patient information and clinical observations.
• Assist with patient history collection as directed by the treating clinician.
• Support patient preparation for examinations and procedures.
• Record vital signs and other basic clinical parameters as trained and authorized.
• Assist doctors during routine examinations and minor procedures.
• Coordinate laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Follow up on pending reports and communicate them to the appropriate clinical team.
• Maintain accurate case sheets, clinical records, and documentation.
• Assist with admission, transfer, discharge, and referral processes.
• Coordinate patient appointments, consultations, and treatment schedules.
• Provide routine non-clinical information to patients and attendants.
• Assist nursing and clinical staff with patient movement and preparation.
• Ensure availability of required clinical forms, supplies, and equipment.
• Observe patients for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the responsible clinician.
• Support emergency preparedness and assist during urgent situations as trained.
• Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, nursing, and other departments.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical documentation procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Follow hospital SOPs, professional standards, and instructions from authorized clinical personnel.
