Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine laboratory activities related to patient diagnosis and clinical investigations. The includes specimen collection and processing, laboratory testing, equipment operation, reagent management, quality control, documentation, and coordination with doctors and other healthcare teams. The technician ensures accurate, timely, and safe laboratory operations while following approved laboratory procedures, biosafety standards, infection control practices, and confidentiality requirements.

• Collect, receive, identify, label, and process laboratory specimens according to protocols.
• Perform routine laboratory tests according to approved procedures.
• Prepare samples, reagents, and materials required for laboratory investigations.
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment appropriately.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunction or abnormal conditions.
• Assist with calibration and maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test registers, and documentation.
• Verify and record test results according to defined procedures.
• Follow internal quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Monitor reagent, consumable, and laboratory supply stock levels.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of specimens and reagents.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of laboratory work areas.
