Job summary

Tata Consulting Engineers in Gadchiroli district is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to represent the client at site and lead PMC oversight of industrial civil and structural works, ensuring delivery as per scope, quality, HSE, cost and schedule.

You will review drawings, specifications, and construction plans, drive resolution of technical issues, monitor progress, enforce compliance with drawings and permits, and prepare concise project reports highlighting risks and recovery actions.

Responsibilities

• Verify setting out, levels, reinforcement and formwork before critical pours.
• Monitor precast activities from foundation to erection and final acceptance.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, codes, permits and HSE standards.

Job description

We are hiring civil engineers / Sr Civil Engineer for an industrial client at a site in Gadchiroli district, approximately 160 km from Gadchiroli city.

Role:

• 1. Represent the client at site and lead PMC oversight of industrial civil and structural works, ensuring delivery in line with approved scope, quality, HSE, cost and schedule objectives.
• 2. Review drawings, specifications, BOQs and construction schedules for constructability, sequencing, maintainability, access and multidisciplinary interfaces; drive timely resolution of technical issues.
• 3. Review and recommend approval of contractors method statements, work plans, inspection and test plans, risk assessments, material submittals, shop drawings and construction procedures.
• 4. Monitor contractor deployment, productivity, work fronts and progress against the approved baseline; identify slippages, analyse constraints and drive corrective and recovery actions.
• 5. Provide surveillance and stage-wise clearance for industrial civil works, including earthworks, RCC and structural works, plant buildings, heavy-equipment foundations, roads, drains, underground utilities, waterproofing and finishes.
• 6. Verify setting out, line, level, alignment, dimensions, elevations, reinforcement, formwork, inserts, sleeves, anchor bolts and embedded items before release of critical work fronts and concrete pours.
• 7. Monitor precast works from foundation readiness through erection and final acceptance, including alignment, plumbness, grouting, welding, bolting, anchors, bearing pads, joints and sealants.
• 8. Enforce compliance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, statutory requirements, permits and project HSE standards; raise material deviations and risks to the client.
• 9. Raise, review and close inspection observations, non-conformance reports and punch points; verify root-cause actions and prevent recurrence through effective quality controls.
• 10. Review contractor measurements, quantity records, progress claims, variations and supporting documents, and provide recommendations in accordance with contract provisions and verified site progress.
• 11. Prepare concise daily, weekly and monthly PMC reports covering progress, quality, HSE, resources, key risks, decisions required, look-ahead activities and recovery status.
• 12. Support change control by assessing field changes, technical deviations and constructability proposals for impact on scope, cost, schedule, quality and operability before client approval.
