Job summary

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
• 5–8 years of experience in industrial structural works is preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication and erection drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise structural steel fabrication and erection activities at the project site.
• Review and interpret structural drawings, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and technical specifications.
• Monitor erection activities for steel structures, platforms, conveyors, and equipment support structures.
• Ensure works are executed per approved drawings, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and project teams for smooth execution.
• Verify alignment, levels, dimensions, bolt tightening, and structural stability during erection.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support the execution of a large-scale industrial project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating structural steel fabrication, erection, inspection, and quality assurance activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and construction schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise structural steel fabrication and erection activities at the project site.
• Review and interpret structural drawings, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and technical specifications.
• Monitor erection activities for steel structures, platforms, technological structures, pipe racks, conveyors, transfer towers, and equipment support structures.
• Ensure structural works are executed as per approved drawings, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and project teams for smooth project execution.
• Verify alignment, levels, dimensions, bolt tightening, and structural stability during erection activities.
• Conduct inspections of fabricated and erected steel structures and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Monitor contractor performance, resource deployment, and work progress.
• Review method statements, work procedures, and erection plans.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection and quality control activities.
• Assist in quantity verification, measurement reviews, and contractor bill certification.
• Prepare progress reports and highlight potential risks, delays, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures during lifting, rigging, working at heights, and erection activities.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Experience in industrial structural works, including equipment support structures, conveyors, and plant buildings.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication and erection drawings.
• Knowledge of welding standards, bolted connections, and structural quality requirements.
• Familiarity with heavy lifting and erection methodologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation tools.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in beneficiation plants, mining projects, steel plants, material handling systems, power plants, cement plants, or other heavy industrial projects.
• Exposure to structural steel erection for industrial facilities and large plant infrastructure.
• Experience working in PMC, EPC, or industrial construction environments.
• Familiarity with fabrication yard inspections and site erection management.
