Job summary

Amazon - ASSPL Haryana is seeking a City Manager to oversee budgetary, people development and operations for a Micro Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team including cluster Managers, coach and mentor for high performance, and build leadership bench strength within the FC.

Key responsibilities include staffing plans, process improvements using Lean tools, and ensuring safety and productivity while coordinating with HR, Finance, Facilities, and IT.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean/Change initiatives to meet business plans.
• Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds team leads accountable for their department performance.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, IT and other Ops managers to secure resources for projects and initiatives.
• Addresses operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area and surfaces issues with potential impact across multiple areas.

• Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed Business Plan.Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for Area Managers.
• Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Team leads accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
• Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.
• Works closely with support staff (HR Manager, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, S&LP Manager, and Other Ops. Managers, IT Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in his/her area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.
• Able to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area.
• Surface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions, to Sr. Ops, General Manager and / or HR.

• Review the work forecasts and determine your productivity requirements to produce during the day to meet the overall building objectives.
