SYSTRA is seeking a seasoned Chief Platform Screen Door Expert & Chief Resident Engineer - PSD for metro project bids in India. The role focuses on designing safe, reliable PSD systems, ensuring integration with CBTC signaling, and managing critical interfaces with rolling stock to achieve precise stopping tolerances.

The ideal candidate should have graduate engineering qualifications with 23+ years of overall experience and at least 7+ years in PSD or related railway projects.

Qualifications

• Total 23+ years of professional experience in engineering and project delivery.
• Minimum 7+ years on PSD, CBTC, and related railway system projects.

Responsibilities

• Design & safety governance for PSD systems and ensure SIL compliance.
• Lead interfaces between PSD, signalling (CBTC) and rolling stock for accurate stopping tolerances.
• Coordinate architectural aspects with MEP for power and grounding connections.
• Oversee on-site installation, glass alignment, and hardware robustness across stations.
• Direct post-installation testing and reliability trials to ensure zero live faults.

Currently, we are bidding for Metro projects across India. The position of Chief Platform Screen Door Expert & Chief Resident Engineer - PSD is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Design & Safety Governance: Authorizing the design of Full-Height or Half-Height PSD systems, ensuring compliance with SIL (Safety Integrity Level) standards for "Emergency Override" and "Anti-Drag" features.
• System Integration: Leading the critical interface between PSD, Signaling (CBTC) for door synchronization, and Rolling Stock for precise stopping tolerances.
• Architectural Coordination: Approving structural mounting details on platform edges and managing interfaces with MEP for power supply and earthing/bonding.
• CRE Site Leadership: Overseeing the physical installation, glass alignment, and mechanical robustness of headers and thresholds across all stations.
• T&C Oversight: Directing "Post-Installation" testing and cycle-reliability trials (e.g., 1 million cycles) to ensure zero failures during live operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Securing final technical clearances and leading safety demonstrations for the CMRS to authorize passenger service.
• Lifecycle Management: Vetting technical specifications for drive motors and control units to ensure long‑term durability and ease of maintenance.
