Job summary

Intellectual Capital HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned accounting leader to oversee daily financial operations and ensure accurate and timely reporting in Chennai.

You will drive month-end close, strengthen internal controls, coordinate audits, and mentor junior staff while ensuring regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
• CPA or CMA designation is a strong plus
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, formulas)
• Strong working knowledge of major accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Sage)
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, high ethical standards, and the ability to explain financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders

• Lead the closing process for month-end and year-end to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to senior management.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal accounting regulations and tax laws; coordinate regulatory reporting and tax filings.
• Establish, implement, and maintain internal accounting controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations during annual audits.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior accounting staff, fostering continuous improvement and accuracy.
