Intellectual Capital HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, cash receipts, and general ledger.

You will lead month-end and year-end closes and present accurate financial statements to senior management. The role requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, and professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory accounting role.
• CPA or CMA designation is a strong plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily accounting operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash receipts, and general ledger.
• Lead month-end and year-end close to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to senior management.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal accounting regulations and tax laws; coordinate regulatory reporting and tax filings.
• Establish, implement, and maintain internal accounting controls and procedures to safeguard assets and data integrity.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors, providing documentation and explanations during audits.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior accounting staff.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash receipts, and general ledger.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead the closing process to ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to senior management.
• Compliance & Tax: Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal accounting regulations and tax laws; coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and tax filings.
• Internal Controls: Establish, implement, and maintain internal accounting controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations during annual financial audits.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory accounting role.
• Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation is a strong plus.
• Technical Skills: * Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas).
• Strong working knowledge of major accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Sage).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, high ethical standards, and the ability to explain financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
