Qualifications

• Cathlab Technician role requires experience in cathlab procedures and sterile practice.
• Experience coordinating with cardiology, ICU, OT, nursing and biomedical teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cathlab equipment, monitors, sterile trays, consumables and procedure materials.
• Assist cardiologists during angiography, angioplasty, and other cardiac procedures.
• Support patient preparation, positioning, shifting and post-procedure transfer.
• Monitor patient vitals, ECG and oxygen saturation during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control.
• Check cathlab equipment readiness and report issues immediately.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, anaesthesia, ICU, emergency and biomedical teams.
• Maintain cathlab records, logs and equipment checklists.

Cathlab Technician is responsible for supporting cardiologists during cathlab procedures, preparing equipment and procedure materials, assisting with patient monitoring, maintaining cathlab readiness, and ensuring safe technical support during cardiac interventions. Requires cathlab technical knowledge, equipment handling ability, emergency readiness, sterile practice, documentation discipline, and coordination with cardiology, ICU, OT, nursing, and biomedical teams.

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare cathlab equipment, monitors, sterile trays, consumables, and procedure materials.
• Assist cardiologists during angiography, angioplasty, and other cardiac procedures.
• Support patient preparation, positioning, shifting, and post-procedure transfer.
• Monitor patient vitals, ECG, oxygen saturation, and procedure support needs under supervision.
• Maintain aseptic technique, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Check cathlab equipment readiness and report technical issues immediately.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, anaesthesia, ICU, emergency, and biomedical teams.
• Maintain cathlab records, procedure logs, equipment checklists, and documentation.
• Support emergency response during cardiac events or procedure complications.
• Handle cathlab consumables, sterile supplies, contrast materials, and emergency stock.
• Assist in post-procedure observation and handover to ICU or recovery area.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of cathlab work areas.
• Follow hospital protocols, radiation safety, and biomedical waste management practices.
• Support preventive maintenance coordination for cathlab equipment.
• Provide safe, reliable, and efficient cathlab technical support.
