Job summary

Hero MotoCorp Ltd. in India is seeking a seasoned engineer to join our Quality/Manufacturing team to drive warranty reduction and process improvements across parts and electrical systems.

You will work with CIT, Manufacturing Quality, Service teams and dealers to analyse issues, implement 8D and FMEA actions, and validate new parts before MP implementation. A Diploma/Engineering degree and 5–10 years in auto manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Graduation in Engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing/auto industry
• Product/process knowledge with problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Reduction in Warranty Claims & cost of electrical & electronics proprietary parts
• DFMEA/PFMEA testing and field condition validation for new parts
• Involvement in new supplier development for electrical parts before MP implementation
• Participation in new model market surveys to capture field feedback and closure with stakeholders
• Design and process benchmarking for in-house and competitor products

Your responsibilities include but not limited to-

• Reduction in Warranty Claims & Cost of Electrical & Electronics Proprietary Parts
• Past Lesson learnt deployment in new models-active participation in new parts DFMEA /PFMEA; testing of new parts at HMCL / Maker w.r.t field conditions
• Involvement in new supplier development for electrical parts- validation of new part w.r.t field conditions before MP Implementation
• Participation in new model Market Surveys to capturing field feedback & closure of all identify points through the involvement of concerned stakeholders
• Do design and process Benchmarking (for both in-house products and competitor products) to identify the improvement points & implement the same for running & upcoming model/parts

A Day in the life

You will be closely working with important stakeholders on day-to-day basis, like CIT and Manufacturing Quality for issue analysis and action; Service teams for problem establishment and provide closure; frequent interaction with dealers and suppliers

Academic Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / Graduation in Engineering
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing/Auto Industry Preferably
