Job summary

Mizuho Global Services Pvt Ltd (MGS) is a subsidiary of Mizuho Bank, leading a global processing center for banking and IT operations. The Business Analyst role focuses on CASA operations, requirement validation, BPM and process standardization across geographies.

Candidate will handle UAT support, training, and liaison with multiple stakeholders; a Master’s in science/IT is preferred and travel within APAC may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent business communication with banking exposure.
• Experience in CASA middle/back-office operations.
• Knowledge of full CASA lifecycle including account opening and maintenance.
• Hands-on with BRD/FRD and operation workflow diagrams.
• FLEXCUBE implementation experience is a plus.
• Agile/Scrum experience preferred.
• Ability to standardize workflows across entities.
• Strong BPM and analytical capabilities.
• Attention to detail and precise requirement documentation.
• Willingness to travel within the APAC region.

Job Description Business Analyst –

Planning & Promotion as BA

• Business requirement validation with use cases in the prototyping phase
• Establish and introduce new work procedures and/ or workarounds
• Planning and promotion of user tasks from BA’s perspective
• Conduct study to analyse system effectiveness and cycle time
• Provide training to local and overseas users
• Provide support in User Acceptance Testing (including Test Case Creation and Issue Management)
• Liaise with End Users, Vendors and Head Office in migration and other project tasks
• Assist in the preparation of System and Operation manuals
• Conduct Client Impact Analysis and Support Customer Notification

Management & Reporting

• Support the Team as a Subject Expert in the management of CASA related IT Projects
• Facilitate in system function and workflow design
• Monitor task progress of the user side, conduct issue & risk management, and provide support for solving them
• Provide insights and feedback to project planning with Area PM
• Other regular reporting such as regional progress, challenges and success to BA leads

Role-Specific Duties:

• Oversee project execution and coordinate between teams.
• Develop detailed analyses and maintain organized documentation.
• Planning and promotion of user tasks from BA’s perspective

Required Skills/Experiences/Personalities:

1. 1. Excellent business communication skills with technical proficiency and exposure in Banking.
2. 2. Working experiences as bank staff in Middle and Back-Office domain in CASA area.
3. 3. Experience of handling the full CASA operation process, including account opening and maintenance, transaction processing (deposits, withdrawals, etc.), interest calculation, etc.(For VP / AVP: Mandatory, For SO: Advantageous)
4. 4. Experience in OD management, Time Deposit, Foreign Exchange, Creation of Swift Messages and reconciliation (For VP / AVP: Minimum of 3 years’ experience, For SO: Minimum of 1-year experience)
5. 5. Possess strong Hands-on experience in Business Analysis activities like creating both BRD and FRD (Including Operation Workflow creation (Swim lane diagram).
6. 6. Experience of handling the full CASA operation process, including account opening documentation, data management , compliance checks, account maintenance, etc.(Mandatory for VP/AVP).
7. 7. Experience of working with people from different geographies (actual international experience is not mandatory but working/ interacting with people from different geographies is needed.
8. 8. Package system implementation experience (FLEXCUBE)
9. 9. Agile/ Scrum experience is preferred.
10. 10. Experience in collecting business requirements and standardization of workflow across different entities.
11. 11. Strong analytical, problem- solving and decision-making skills.
12. 12. Sound knowledge in Business Process Management (BPM).
13. 13. A meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise, and extensive requirement documentation.
14. 14. Experience in project implementation from user side (big project is preferred).
15. 15. Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
16. 16. Mindset to not fear challenge / undertake risk.
17. 17. Willingness to undertake travel within the APAC region to interact in person with Mizuho teams to gather the necessary requirements.
18. 18. A Master’s Degree preferably majoring in Science or IT.
