Multiple Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and DevOps fresher trainee positions across Mumbai and Noida focused on reliability, automation and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) — Capgemini India's 2024-2026 fresher trainee intake for June 2026. Hybrid, fresher CTC band INR 4-8 LPA depending on profile (confirmed by the company at offer).

Responsibilities

Join Capgemini India's 2024-2026 fresher trainee intake on the Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps track — a structured programme that takes graduates through cloud, automation and reliability fundamentals before placing them on real client engagements in Mumbai or Noida. Operate and support cloud workloads on one or more of AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud — gaining concrete experience with the core compute, storage, networking, IAM and managed-Kubernetes primitives of each cloud, rather than abstract certification-level surface area. Work with Kubernetes (EKS / AKS / GKE) at the level a real SRE needs — pods, deployments, services, ingress, autoscaling, RBAC — and learn to debug what actually goes wrong in production environments, not only what is taught in courseware. Author and maintain Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks under guidance — building reusable IaC habits early and learning to treat infrastructure changes with the discipline of application code. Build and operate CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and learn the realities of progressive delivery, canary releases and safe rollbacks for client systems. Instrument applications and infrastructure with Prometheus, Grafana, the ELK stack and the relevant cloud-native observability tools — and learn to define SLIs / SLOs, build dashboards on-call engineers trust, and tune alerts that page only on real signal. Participate in incident response and blameless post-mortems in a learning-then-owning trajectory — first as a scribe, then as a responder, then driving follow-up actions to closure. Write Python and Bash automation that removes repeatable operational toil — backups, log parsing, deployment helpers, scheduled cleanups — and learn to think of every manual operation as a future automation candidate. Build the SRE mindset deliberately — reliability as a first-class product property, error budgets as a real planning tool, toil reduction as a measurable goal — that defines the upper end of the SRE / DevOps career path.

Requirements

2024-2026 graduates from CS / IT / ECE programmes with basic cloud and Linux knowledge — the trainee programme is designed for freshers who want to specialise on SRE / DevOps from day one. Working comfort with Linux command line and Git, and at least one programming / scripting language (Python, Java, JavaScript or Bash all acceptable as a starting point). Any cloud foundational certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, AZ-900, Google Cloud Digital Leader) is a strong differentiator at the screening stage. At least one personal project on a public GitHub profile that touches infrastructure (a CI/CD pipeline, a Terraform‑provisioned site, a containerised app) is a meaningful signal of seriousness. Strong communication skills in English, the discipline to learn in a fast‑paced services‑delivery environment, and the ability to take feedback in code reviews and incident retros constructively.
