Job summary

Protegk Fire Secure Technologies is seeking a highly experienced COO/Business Head to scale its MEP Division in Pune. You will lead operations, drive revenue growth, manage P&L, and build high-performing teams to deliver complex MEP projects while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

You will shape strategy, expand business with contractors and clients, oversee budgeting and procurement, and coordinate with Engineering, Estimation, and Service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• MBA preferred (Marketing/Operations/Project Management).
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking.
• Experience in MEP project execution and operations.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic COO / Business Head to lead and scale our MEP Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, overseeing end-to-end operations, managing profit & loss (P&L;), developing high-performing teams, and ensuring successful execution of MEP projects while maintaining quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute business strategies to achieve organizational goals.
• Lead the overall operations of the MEP Division.
• Identify recent business opportunities and market expansion strategies.
• Drive revenue growth and improve operational efficiency.
• Establish long-term business plans and growth initiatives.

Business Development

• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and channel partners.
• Identify new project opportunities in commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure sectors.
• Participate in high-value client meetings and negotiations.
• Review and approve major commercial proposals and contracts.

Operations Management

• Oversee the execution of multiple MEP projects simultaneously.
• Ensure timely project delivery within budget and quality standards.
• Monitor project performance, resource allocation, and productivity.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Estimation, Procurement, Execution, and Service teams.

Financial Management

• Manage the division's Profit & Loss (P&L;).
• Prepare annual budgets and revenue forecasts.
• Monitor project profitability and cost control.
• Improve operational margins through effective planning and execution.

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and senior managers.
• Build a performance-driven culture.
• Conduct performance reviews and succession planning.
