We're looking for a Business Finance Analyst who can go beyond reporting and actively use numbers to shape strategy, keep investors confidently informed, and keep forecasts, pricing, and cash tightly managed.This is a high-ownership, generalist finance role built for someone who wants to work close to the CEOOffice, with visibility into major business decisions across finance, product, tech, and sales.
What will you be doing?
- What You'll Actually Do
- FP&A, Forecasting & Budgeting
- Build and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
- Run forecasts and variance analysis with clear commentary on drivers.
- Develop and continuously refine Fire AI's financial model across revenue, cost, headcount, and cash projections.
- Translate forecasts into best-case, base-case, and downside scenarios for leadership decisions.
- MIS Analysis & Strategic Finance
- Analyze monthly MIS across P&L, cash position, departmental spend, and key business metrics.
- Convert financial data into commentary on drivers, risks, and recommended actions.
- Track core SaaS and business metrics such as CAC, LTV, churn, ARR/MRR growth, gross margin, and burn multiple.
- Recommend actions based on the numbers, not just summaries of what happened.
- Pricing Strategy
- Own the financial and analytical backbone of pricing decisions.
- Evaluate unit economics, margin impact, and CAC/LTV sensitivity across pricing scenarios.
- Work closely with Product, Tech/AI, and Sales to align pricing with product capability, delivery cost, and GTM reality.
- Bring marketing and sales cost data into pricing models so pricing and discounting decisions are commercially grounded.
- Cash, Treasury & Investor Relations
- Maintain a live runway and cash flow tracker integrated with the core financial model.
- Manage banking relationships, working capital needs, and proactively flag runway risks.
- Draft monthly and quarterly investor updates summarizing performance, milestones, and asks.
- Maintain the cap table and support fundraising processes, including data room preparation and diligence requests.
- Valuation Support
- Build valuation models such as DCF and comparables for fundraising rounds and ESOP pricing discussions.
- Calculate investor returns and IRR when needed for fundraising and cap table conversations.
What you will need to bring to the table?
- You're Built For This If...
- You have strong Excel or Google Sheets modeling skills and can build financial models from scratch.
- You can think beyond finance reporting and connect numbers to real business decisions.
- You are comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Tech/AI, and Sales.
- You write clearly and can prepare content that goes directly to investors.
- You are comfortable juggling monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc strategic priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- CA, MBA Finance, or CFA is preferred, but strong demonstrated capability matters more than only credentials.
