Job summary

Choice International is seeking an experienced Head of Business Development for Transport Infrastructure to drive strategic growth across Railways, Metro, Highways, Roads, Bridges, Logistics, Airports and Urban Mobility sectors.

The ideal candidate will lead BD and advisory activities with government bodies, PSUs, multilateral agencies and development partners, shaping opportunities and partnerships at scale. Strong communication, leadership and market-entry expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience in BD, advisory or management consulting in transport infrastructure.
• Strong network with government departments, PSUs and funding institutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development initiatives across the Transport Infrastructure sector.
• Identify and pursue strategic opportunities with Central & State Governments, PSUs, Multilateral Agencies and Development Partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government departments, infrastructure agencies, funding institutions and strategic partners.
• Track infrastructure policies, government programmes, funding opportunities, investments and market trends in the transport sector.
• Lead preparation of EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, technical proposals, presentations and client pitches in collaboration with technical teams.
• Develop market-entry strategies, key-account plans and sector-specific business growth initiatives.
• Support strategic partnerships, consortiums and collaborations for large infrastructure consulting assignments.
• Develop thought leadership through white papers, technical publications, market intelligence reports and industry presentations.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences, forums, client meetings and networking platforms.
• Actively build professional visibility and thought leadership through LinkedIn and other relevant social media platforms.
• Promote innovation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the Transport Infrastructure practice.

About the Role

Desired Candidate Profile

• 12+ years of experience in Business Development, Advisory or Management Consulting within the Transport Infrastructure sector.
• Strong understanding of Railways, Metro, Highways, Roads, Bridges, Airports, Logistics and Urban Mobility.
• Proven experience in opportunity identification, client engagement, proposal management and strategic consulting.
• Good understanding of Government programmes, infrastructure investment initiatives, PPP frameworks and multilateral-funded projects.
• Strong network among government departments, PSUs, infrastructure agencies, consultants, funding institutions and industry stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, stakeholder management and networking skills.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to understand technical infrastructure requirements and translate them into business opportunities.
• Dynamic, proactive and market-oriented professional with strong commercial acumen.
