The Business Development Associate– Cybersecurity is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying potential clients, generating qualified leads, building strong customer relationships, and supporting the end-to-end sales acquisition process for cybersecurity services. This role blends sales expertise with functional understanding of cybersecurity solutions managed security services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential clients across industries for IT Infra, IT Services, Cybersecurity and Software sales.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, cold emails, LinkedIn, networking events, and industry platforms.
- Build and maintain a strong custmore sales funnel and scalable lead pipeline.
- Do lead generation for IT Infra, IT Services, Cybersecurity and Software sales.
- Understand client IT Infra, IT Services, Cybersecurity and Software sales needs and provide hardware or software sales solutiuon.
- Conduct introductory meetings and discovery calls to assess client requirements.
- Coordinate software demos, hardware product demos, sales workshops, with internal IT security teams.
- Build trust-based relationships with IT managers, CISOs, CTOs, and other key decision-makers.
- Ensure timely sales follow-up and maintain consistent communication throughout the sales cycle.
- Support prospects from first contact through sales closure, ensuring a smooth experience.
- Maintain accurate Sales CRM updates, lead tracking, and follow-up logs.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales activity reports.
- Provide insights to enhance sales strategy and go-to-market approach.
- Identify new industries and market segments for cybersecurity expansion.
- carry out cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services, generate new business leads and arrange meetings.
The role is office based, but often involves travelling to clients' premises. Overnight stays away from home may be required on occasion.
manage workload in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goals
a good level of technical understanding, with enthusiasm for new technology and its commercial uses - though having technical skills before you start isn't essential .
Any sales experience may therefore be helpful, including working in a call centre or telemarketing role, where sales skills and the ability to meet targets are illustrated.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in business development, preferably in IT or cybersecurity.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable With Field Sales.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into business value.
- Experience using CRM tools for lead management.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
