Atlas Copco Group in Talegaon, Pune, India, on-site, seeks a proactive Business Controller to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for a diversified product portfolio.

The role requires 10+ years of experience with strong leadership, ERP/SAP expertise, and robust analytical skills. You will mentor the finance team, partner with product heads, and drive continuous improvement and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• University / master's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or similar; CA/ICWA/MBA is a plus.
• More than 10 years of work experience, including more than 3 years in a managerial position.
• Experience with ERP SAP S4Hana /BPCS and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Business Controller

As a Business Controller, You will report to the General Manager- Product Company, Talegaon (PNB)

Role And Responsibilities -Financial Planning & Analysis

Monitor profitability across product lines, with a focus on Product Cost control, product master data accuracy, and gross profit performance. Maintain and monitor standard costing system. Prepare product cost bridge. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.

Ensure accurate product costings and maintain up-to-date financial models. Analyse financial results and variances to provide actionable insights to the management team. Support scenario modelling and business case development to guide strategic decisions.

Supervise all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, asset reporting and input of information into computerized accounting systems. Prepare financial statements and monthly reporting.

Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Monitor profitability, product costs, and financial performance.

Provide financial analysis and insights for decision-making. Oversee accounting operations and financial reporting. Lead and develop the finance team.

Business Partnering: -

Collaborate with department heads to monitor performance, ensure business trends are well understood, and identify opportunities for improvement. Drive the implementation of corrective action plans to address performance gaps and support continuous improvement. Provide financial guidance for strategic initiatives, investments, and cost optimization. Collaborate with and support customer center inquiries and set up smooth process of Indent and intercompany orders execution.

Reporting & Compliance

Ensure accurate reporting, KPI monitoring, and forecasting.

Drive process automation and financial efficiency. Maintain compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness.

Project Support

Participate in cross-functional projects, including ERP implementations, M&A activities, and digital transformation initiatives, by providing financial insights and support.

Training, coaching and business Support

Adopt a mentoring and coaching attitude to develop the competence of all managers in terms of your area of expertise.

To succeed, you will need

Experience And Knowledge Requirements

Previous experience in business control, preferably in a Product Company in Atlas Copco.

Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.

Proficiency in financial software and databases. Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in teams.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Experience in handling and understanding of rotating machinery.

Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills Experience working with ERP system SAP S4Hana /BPCS and advanced competence of MS-Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).

A good understanding of "The Way we do things" with extra attention for "Business Code of Practice" and "Supplier Risk Evaluation".

More than 10 years of work experience, including more than 3 years of experience in managerial position.

Educational Requirements

University / master's degrees in business administration, Accounting, Finance or similar CA/ICW/MBA is a plus.
