Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to bridge business needs and engineering solutions for embedded product development projects in Pune, working closely with Japanese customers and global teams.

The role requires 6+ years in business analysis, strong requirements engineering, Jira/Azure DevOps, and proficiency in English and Japanese, with a hybrid Pune work arrangement and opportunities for global exposure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Experience in requirements engineering and stakeholder management.
• Exposure to Embedded Systems, Industrial Automation, IoT, or Product Engineering preferred.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
• Act as the primary interface between Japanese customers and engineering teams.
• Create BRDs, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with Embedded Software, Firmware, Hardware, and Testing teams.
• Support Agile development, backlog management, and requirement traceability.
• Drive process improvements and support product development initiatives.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement discussions.

To succeed, you will need

• Required Skills:
  • At least 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong experience in requirements engineering and stakeholder management.
  • Exposure to Embedded Systems, Industrial Automation, IoT, or Product Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Mandatory Requirements
  • Japanese language proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English.
  • Ability to work directly with Japanese customers and global teams.
• Preferred:
  • Experience in Embedded Product Development, Industrial Controllers, Embedded Linux, Firmware, or Electronics domains.
• Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or a related field.

Job location

This position is based in Pune, India, with a hybrid working model. You will have the flexibility to work partly from our Atlas Copco Group, GECIA premises, and partly remotely. This arrangement supports a healthy work-life balance while maintaining effective collaboration with the onsite team.
