Job summary

ESP Engineered located in Bengaluru is looking for an experienced engineer to design and develop welding and assembly fixtures for full vehicle BIW and EMS Battery Production.

This role requires a B.E. / B-Tech in Mechanical, proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and expertise in GD&T. The ideal candidate will be responsible for detailed engineering design, BOM creation, and quality checking.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge on GD&T and stack up analysis.
• Experience in method planning and manufacturing concepts.
• Exposure to Welding Lines Process & Layout.

Job Purpose (Significance of the role & Objectives)

Design, detailing and developing ofwelding and assembly fixture of full vehicle BIW & EMS Battery Production.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Design, detailing and developing of welding and assembly fixture for EMS Battery production and BIW.
• 2D and 3D designing for EMSBattery and BIW fixtures.
• BOM creation and self-quality checking.
• Responsible for detailed engineering design of complex parts in the project.
• Battery and BIW fixture assembly sequencing.
• Performs basic engineering calculations to verify design integrity.

Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience

• Software skills: - solid-works/ UG NX, Auto-Cad.
• Proficient knowledge on GD & T , stack up analysis .
• Good knowledge of material selection, manufacturing processes and its limitations.
• Ability to identify, estimate and mark the dimensions prior to designing.
• Exposure to Welding Lines Process & Layout (Spot Welding, ARC welding).
• Experience in method planning, series tool design and manufacturing concepts of battery and BIW Parts.
• Knowledge of Selection of Materials, Awareness of Various Global and IS Standards for Material and Testing.
• Willing to learn any new technologies required for the role.
• B.E. / B-Tech / in Mechanical.
• Excellent technical documentation skills are expected.
