Job summary

Medanta is seeking a biomedical equipment maintenance professional to oversee records, performance, maintenance, and safety of hospital devices. The role involves coordinating with OEMs and service providers, ensuring compliance with NABH/NABL standards, and documenting all activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain updated records of all biomedical equipment, including asset number, make, model, serial number, location, warranty and service history.
• Monitor equipment performance and availability.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) as per manufacturer recommendations and hospital schedule.
• Attend breakdown and service complaints within defined response and resolution timelines.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and coordinate with authorized vendors/OEMs when required.
• Verify equipment functionality after repair and before returning it to the user department.
• Ensure medical equipment is safe for patient and staff use.
• Coordinate electrical safety, performance testing, calibration, and validation of applicable equipment.
• Support compliance with NABH, NABL, statutory and hospital quality requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance and safety checks.
• Coordinate installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and acceptance of new medical equipment.
• Coordinate with OEMs and authorized service providers for breakdowns, PM, calibration, and major repairs.
• Any other official task assigned by the HOD.
