Job summary

Sterling Addlife in Rajkot, India is seeking a hospital billing professional to manage patient billing from admission through discharge. You will update bills, maintain strong relationships with consultants and customers, and resolve internal and external billing queries.

The role includes night shift duties such as updating bed-side procedures, auditing bills until 9pm, and ensuring accurate documentation. It emphasizes process improvement and accurate chargeability tracking.

Responsibilities

• Daily updation in the bills of all patients from the time they get admitted in the hospital
• Develop and Maintain a good relationship with the consultants and customers
• Resolving billing and chargeability query raised by the internal customers and external customers
• Receive and enter the billing activities received from the Multi Specialty OTs and small procedures performed in Emergency OT’s like Lithotripsy, Dressings etc.
• Entering and getting the discounts acknowledged under the respective heads and into the patients bill
• Ensuring smooth shift handover and getting all queries resolved to maintain a clear handover
• Rectifying any errors from the previous shift so as to minimize the error rate
• During the night shift- Update all Bed side procedures, doctor visits and any other related information in to the HIS along with the chargeability’s
• The night auditing includes updating the complete bill of the patient including the updations of drugs and consumables till 9pm
• Filling of all documents in the respective patients file
• Making the final discharge bill after crosschecking the entries for the entire period of the patient stay
• Before discharge crosschecking for approval and other required documents if the patient is under a corporate. Updating the patients bill according to the MOU with the respective corporate and post discharge raising the credit bill in the corporate name
• Working towards streamlining the process and ensuring improvement throughout
