Job description

The Billing Manager - Head will be responsible for supervising hospital billing operations, discharge billing, cashless and credit billing coordination, revenue cycle monitoring, team management, documentation, and patient billing service quality. This requires strong hospital billing experience, communication skills, process knowledge, and coordination with accounts, insurance, clinical departments, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OPD, IPD, procedure, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and discharge billing operations.
• Ensure accurate bill generation, service charge posting, package billing, and payment entries.
• Monitor discharge billing timelines and coordinate with departments for faster clearance.
• Guide billing executives on billing SOPs, approvals, discounts, refunds, and documentation.
• Coordinate with TPA, insurance, corporate, accounts, pharmacy, nursing, and clinical teams.
• Verify high-value bills, package cases, credit bills, and complicated billing issues.
• Monitor outstanding dues, deposits, refunds, reconciliation, and daily collection reports.
• Handle patient billing queries, escalations, complaints, and service concerns professionally.
• Prepare billing MIS, revenue reports, discharge trackers, and management updates.
• Ensure billing records, receipts, approvals, and financial documentation are maintained properly.
• Identify billing errors, missing charges, process gaps, and revenue leakage.
• Support audits, internal controls, and financial process improvement.
• Train billing team on software usage, communication, and patient service standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
• Ensure transparent, accurate, and patient-friendly billing operations.
