Job summary

Nextenti Tech is seeking a seasoned Billing Manager to oversee hospital billing across OPD, IPD, emergency, and surgical services. You will supervise insured and cashless processes, drive accuracy, and lead a multi-disciplinary billing team.

The role requires strong leadership, process improvement focus, and transparent reporting to senior management within a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily OPD, IPD, emergency, OT, ICU, diagnostics, pharmacy, and discharge billing operations.
• Ensure accurate billing, tariff application, packages, discounts, deposits, refunds, and adjustments.
• Manage insurance, TPA, cashless, and corporate billing processes, including claim submission and follow-up.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, claim rejections, deductions, and ensure timely collections.
• Identify billing errors, missed charges, and revenue leakages and take corrective action.
• Coordinate with clinical, nursing, front office, medical records, pharmacy, diagnostics, and finance teams for accurate billing.
• Supervise, train, and manage the billing, cashier, insurance, and TPA teams.
• Monitor daily collections and ensure proper reconciliation with the Finance/Accounts department.
• Prepare and review billing, revenue, collection, outstanding, and claim-related MIS reports.
• Handle escalated patient billing issues, disputes, refunds, and settlement concerns.
• Conduct regular billing audits and ensure compliance with hospital policies and applicable requirements.
• Implement billing SOPs, internal controls, and process improvements to improve accuracy and revenue realization.
• Monitor billing KPIs such as collection efficiency, claim settlement, revenue leakage, billing accuracy, and discharge TAT.
• Coordinate with HMIS/IT teams to resolve billing system issues and improve billing processes.
• Report billing performance, issues, and revenue-related matters to senior management.
