Job summary

ORA Group in Mumbai is seeking a Billing Engineer to manage project billing, verify contractor bills, and ensure accurate measurement and documentation of work at site. The role requires strong civil engineering knowledge and hands-on experience with BOQ, cost estimation, and billing procedures.

You will coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and accounts teams to prepare RA, final, and client bills, monitor costs, reconcile quantities, and maintain detailed records for timely payment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in billing and quantity estimation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with BOQ and rate analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify contractor and subcontractor bills based on actual work executed at site.
• Prepare and review RA bills, final bills, and client bills.
• Verify measurements, quantities, and rates as per BOQ, drawings, and work orders.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and contractors for measurement verification and billing approvals.
• Monitor project costs, reconcile quantities, and identify billing discrepancies.
• Maintain records of work orders, bills, measurement sheets, and payment certifications.
• Ensure timely submission and processing of contractor bills.
• Assist in preparing budget comparisons and project cost reports.
• Coordinate with the accounts and commercial teams for payment-related documentation.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically sound Billing Engineer to manage project billing activities, verify contractor bills, prepare cost estimates, and ensure accurate measurement and documentation of work executed at project sites. The candidate should have a good understanding of construction processes, quantity estimation, and billing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify contractor and subcontractor bills based on actual work executed at site.
• Prepare and review RA (Running Account) bills, final bills, and client bills.
• Verify measurements, quantities, and rates as per BOQ, drawings, and work orders.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and contractors for measurement verification and billing approvals.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in using software: SAP & Farvision
• Relevant experience in billing and quantity estimation within the real estate or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, quantity surveying, and construction billing.
• Understanding of civil construction drawings, specifications, and measurement standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and billing-related software will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and negotiation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Experience

• 6 -7 years of relevant experience in construction billing / quantity surveying.
• Experience in real estate or high-rise residential / commercial projects will be preferred.
