OmniHire in Chennai is seeking a proactive Billing & Collections Specialist to manage end-to-end billing, AR, collections and revenue reporting across entities and geographies. The role requires hands-on IT services/cloud billing experience and strong ERP and Excel skills.

You will handle multi-currency invoicing in Odoo, ensure VAT and GST compliance, and support month-end close with revenue and collections reporting. Excellent English communication and stakeholder coordination are essential.

Competenze

• 4–7 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable or revenue accounting.
• Hands-on UAE VAT invoicing and knowledge of India GST.
• Experience in recurring, contract-based and milestone billing across multiple currencies and entities.
• ERP experience; Odoo strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and handling large usage reports.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Partner Center and/or AWS billing exports.
• Good English communication skills for customer collections.

Job Title:Billing& Collections Specialist

Experience: 4-7 Years

Location: Chennai

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Billing& Collections Specialist to manage end-to-end customer billing, accountsreceivable, collections and revenue reporting across multiple entities andgeographies.

The ideal candidate should have experience in IT services orcloud billing, hands-on knowledge of UAE VAT, working knowledge of India GSTand strong ERP and Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Revenue Operations (60%)

• Raisecustomer invoices in Odoo based on contracts and billing schedules,covering managed services, FTE staffing, projects and annual licences.
  
• Managemonthly Microsoft CSP and AWS cloud consumption billing using usagereports.
  
• Ensuretimely processing of Microsoft incentives and Azure Accelerate claims.
  
• Applycorrect UAE VAT and India GST treatment, including exports, reversecharge, LUT and e-invoicing/IRN.
  
• Manageforeign-currency invoicing, credit notes and billing corrections withappropriate approvals.
  
• Ensurecontract billing schedules are accurate, and all deliverables are billedcompletely.
  

Collections & Accounts Receivable (30%)

• Managecustomer collections, statements, payment reminders, follow-up calls andoverdue escalations.
  
• Applyreceipts accurately, including partial payments, TDS deductions andgroup-company receipts.
  
• Ensureno unapplied cash balances remain in customer accounts.
  
• Maintainaccurate customer master data, including TRN/GSTIN, billing contacts andpayment terms.
  

Reporting & Month-End Closing (10%)

• Preparereports on unbilled revenue, contract billing completeness, AR ageing andcash collection forecasts.
  
• Supportmonth-end reconciliations and prepare sales-side data for UAE VAT andIndia GST returns.
  
• Maintainrevenue and collections compliance trackers and ensure timely closure ofpending items.
  

Requirements

Must Have

• 4-7 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable or revenue accounting,including at least 2 years in IT services, cloud or SaaS.
  
• Hands-onexperience in UAE VAT invoicing and working knowledge of India GST.
  
• Experiencein recurring, contract-based and milestone billing across multiplecurrencies and legal entities.
  
• Hands-onERP experience; Odoo strongly preferred.
  
• StrongExcel skills and experience handling large usage reports.
  
• Familiaritywith Microsoft Partner Center and/or AWS billing exports.
  
• GoodEnglish communication skills and confidence in handling customercollections over email and phone.

• Commercedegree or CA Inter, CMA or ACCA (part-qualified).
  
• MicrosoftCSP or AWS reseller billing experience.
  
• Tamilor Hindi language skills.
