Job summary

Black Box is seeking a finance professional in Mumbai to prepare and validate costing sheets for customer bids. You will work with Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery, SCM, Procurement, and Finance to capture project scope and commercial requirements.

You will validate cost elements to ensure pricing accuracy, profitability, and margin integrity, while identifying risks and providing mitigation plans. This role owns the costing sheet from booking to closure.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in Business Finance, Commercial Finance, Bid Finance, or Project Finance.
• Strong knowledge of project costing, commercial evaluation, profitability analysis, SAP/ERP, and Advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate project costing sheets for all customer bids.
• Work closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery, SCM, Procurement, and Finance to understand project scope and commercial requirements.
• Validate all cost elements and ensure accurate pricing, profitability, and margin analysis before bid submission.
• Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation plans.
• Own the approved costing sheet and monitor project costs, revenue, and margins from order booking through project closure.
• Ensure the committed gross margin is achieved by proactively tracking project financial performance and driving corrective actions where required.
• Review and approve cost overrun requests, ensuring proper justification, ownership, and stakeholder approvals.
• Conduct post-project profitability reviews and drive continuous improvements in costing accuracy and financial governance.
