• Minimum 2 years of professional barista experience in a caf or specialty shop.
• Strong knowledge of coffee beans, origins, roast profiles, and flavour characteristics.
• Good understanding of espresso extraction and basic coffee preparation techniques.
• Ability to explain different coffee types to customers and recommend beverages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for coffee and willingness to learn about specialty coffee.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced caf environment.

• Be proficient in various coffee brewing methods, including espresso-based preparation and manual brewing techniques.
• Understand the caf menu thoroughly and confidently explain different coffee and beverage options to customers.
• Recommend suitable coffee or beverages based on customers’ preferences and introduce them to different types of coffee when appropriate.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and beverage quality.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other bar equipment properly.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation at the coffee station.
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive customer service.
• Assist with inventory management and ensure coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies are properly stocked.
