Job summary

MALABAR GOLD & DIAMONDS is seeking a procurement/coordination professional to manage showroom orders and coordinate with vendors for timely delivery. The role involves validating product specifications, confirming vendor availability, and ensuring QC feedback reaches showroom staff.

The position requires proactive vendor management, timely follow-ups, and clear communication to meet customer due dates and maintain product quality across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Receive customer orders or customized requests from the showroom, ensuring they align with customer preferences.
• Communicate promptly with relevant vendors to inquire about product availability and delivery, ensuring that the product is delivered by the customers due date.
• Place orders with vendors and obtain follow-up confirmation within 24 hours, verifying product specifications such as stone type, weight, etc.
• If the primary vendor cannot fulfill the order by the due date, coordinate with alternative vendors to secure the required products.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with vendors to ensure timely delivery, initiating communication at least 10 days prior to the due date.
• Receive products from vendors and facilitate quality checks by transferring items to the Quality Control (QC) department.
• Take responsibility for communicating QC results to the respective showroom staff, keeping them updated on the product’s status.
