Job summary

Quest Global in Kerala is seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to design and implement an automation framework for healthcare-related software. You will collaborate with stakeholders, ensure integration quality, and drive timely delivery of automation-enabled testing within an agile team.

The candidate should have 4-6 years in software testing, strong Python and Selenium/Appium skills, and experience with DOORs and Clear Quest. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in software testing.
• Experience in Verification and Validation of engineering applications preferably in healthcare domain.
• Experience in tools such as DOORs, Clear Quest.
• Proficiency in Python 3.10+ with strong typing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks like pytest.
• Selenium / Appium WebDriver and XPath interactions.
• OOP SOLID and design patterns (POM, Strategy, Builder, Observer).
• Git version control usage.
• VS Code extensions and workflows.
• AI-assisted development with GitHub Copilot.
• Experience in designing test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
• Exposure to Linux and agile environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the team in the Healthcare domain, your primary job will be able to design and implementing testing automation framework.

Work Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in software testing.
• Experience in Verification and Validation of engineering applications preferably in healthcare domain.
• Experience in tools such as DOORs, Clear Quest.
• Python 3.10+ with strong typing (type hints, data classes, enums, generics)
• Test automation frameworks — pytest (fixtures, markers, parametrize, plugins)
• Selenium / Appium — WebDriver, element interactions, XPath construction
• Object-Oriented Design — SOLID principles, design patterns (POM, Strategy, Builder, Observer)
• Version control — Git (branching, commits, hooks)
• Visual Studio Code — extensions, workspace configuration, tasks, launch configs
• AI-assisted development — GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, reviewing and validating AI-generated code
• Experience in designing and developing test plans, test cases and generating test reports, defect reports and documentation
• Experience in error guessing techniques, Smoke, Functional, Integration, Regression, Beta, Database, Exploratory Testing etc.
• Experience in preparing effective bug reports using defect tracking system and tracking them to closure.
• Experience in Linux platform
• Ability to work productively and efficiently in an agile environment.
• Ability to learn new technologies, software, and concepts quickly is essential.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Good To Have

• Experience creating, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Jenkins pipelines for automated test execution, reporting, and continuous integration.
• Experience in testing of Medical modality software, Medical Imaging platform in XR platforms.
• Knowledge in Health Care Standards & regulations like DICOM, IHE, HIPPA
• Familiar with tools like WinScp, Putty, Rally, Perforce, etc.
