Collaboration with development teams and stakeholders is required to optimize testing processes. The candidate will contribute to expanding test coverage, creating test documentation, and staying updated with new testing approaches

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of software testing and test automation experience.
• Hands-on UI automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Experience with API testing and RESTful services.
• Familiarity with TestNG or JUnit testing frameworks.
• Understanding of STLC, QA methodologies, and best practices.
• Ability to integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Knowledge of Jira or similar test/defect management tools.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive automated testing frameworks. The role focuses on developing and executing automated tests, identifying automation opportunities, and ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust automation strategies. The Automation Engineer will work closely with development teams and stakeholders to proactively identify and resolve issues while continuously optimizing testing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI and API testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide testing support.
• Create and execute test cases for REST services to validate system functionality.
• Apply strong QA principles and logical/analytical thinking to identify edge cases, negative scenarios, boundary conditions, and potential product risks.
• Review requirements from a QA perspective, proactively identify gaps, ambiguities, dependencies, and potential quality risks, and raise clarifications with relevant stakeholders.
• Design effective test scenarios and test cases covering both expected and unexpected system behavior, ensuring meaningful test coverage beyond happy-path scenarios.
• Identify and implement new automation opportunities to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, checklists, and test plans.
• Stay up to date with new testing approaches, tools, and test strategies.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Evaluate and perform Proof of Concept (PoC) with new tools and frameworks when required. SKILLS &

REQUIREMENTS

• 2–3 years of experience in software testing and test automation using Java.
• Good understanding of QA methodologies, STLC, testing concepts, and best practices.
• Good analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience in UI automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Good understanding of Java programming concepts, including OOP, collections, exception handling, and reusable code.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
• Understanding of automation framework structure and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of API testing, preferably using Rest-Assured.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, and request/response validation.
• Basic knowledge of database concepts and data validation techniques.
• Exposure to Git or other distributed version control systems.
• Exposure to integrating automation tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Knowledge of test/defect management tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of AWS Cloud and Docker is a plus.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling is a plus.
