Job summary

Wipro Water seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage electrical and instrumentation packages for EPC projects in the water treatment sector. Based in Mumbai, you will lead vendor development, negotiate rates, and ensure timely delivery of panels, cables, UPS, and related items.

Candidates should have 12-15 years in electrical/instrumentation procurement, with exposure to SAP MM; EPC exposure and cost-saving initiatives are valued.

Qualifications

• B.E Electrical or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation.
• 12-15 years experience in procurement of electrical and instrumentation packages.
• Experience in EPC projects and water treatment industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for electrical and instrumentation procurement for projects.
• Achieve pre-decided savings objectives.
• Vendor development and timely delivery of materials to stores/sites.
• Coordinate payments with finance/accounts.

Key Skills Required: Areas of expertise / skills

• Procurement of Complete electrical packages (Panels, cables, cable trays, UPS) & Instrumentation packages
• Vendor selection and development of suppliers for Electrical and Instrumentations packages, all types of control panels
• Rate negotiation to ensure the order release within the predetermine budget
• Applying strategies for cost reduction the offer price within the predetermined budget
• Ensuring delivery of ordered material at site
• Ensuring timely release of payment in coordination with finance / accounts dept.
• Knowledge of reputed supplier in electrical and instrumentation packages across industry
• Hands on experience in SAP - MM will be an added advantage
• People Mgmt. responsibilities
