Job summary

Onward Technologies in Pune seeks an experienced Job Description Manager - Mechanical Package Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects, equipment engineering, and vendor coordination across the project lifecycle.

The candidate should have 12-16 years of Mechanical Design and Project Engineering experience, strong proficiency in rotary/static equipment, PFD/P&ID reviews, and cross-functional coordination, with hands-on delivery from design through commissioning and a focus on value

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in design, procurement engineering and vendor evaluation.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, plant layouts, equipment datasheets, BOQs, and RFQs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Review mechanical GA drawings, piping layouts, fabrication drawings, and skid designs.
• Support FAT/SAT, manufacturing clearance.
• Handle rotary and static equipment including pumps, blowers, agitators, conveyors, screens, valves, and treatment plant systems.
• Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• 12-16 years of experience in MechanicalDesign and Project Engineering.
• Strong experience with rotary and static equipment.
• Exposure to complete project lifecycle from design through commissioning.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently handle engineering deliverables and project execution activities.
