Job summary

Roots Group of Companies in India seeks a procurement professional to prepare RFQs with clear specifications, quantities, delivery schedules and terms, and to identify and source qualified vendors for project needs.

You will coordinate with suppliers for timely quotations, evaluate quotes for pricing, technical compliance and delivery, negotiate favorable terms, and maintain vendor records to ensure compliance with procurement policies and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue RFQs with clear technical specifications, quantities, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
• Identify, evaluate, and source qualified vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain timely quotations and maintain follow-up until closure.
• Evaluate supplier quotations by comparing pricing, technical compliance, delivery commitments, and commercial terms.
• Negotiate with vendors to achieve the best possible pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement requirements are fulfilled within project timelines.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase documentation.
• Support supplier performance monitoring and continuous vendor development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
