Job summary

Torrent Power is seeking an experienced procurement professional in Ahmedabad to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.

You will coordinate with engineering and project teams to define purchase requirements, identify and onboard suppliers, issue RFPs, and manage contracts while ensuring compliance and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to understand purchase requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and contractors.
• Maintain vendor database and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• RFQs/RFPs, evaluate bids commercially, and negotiation.
• Issuance of purchase orders and contracts in compliance to legal and finance teams.
• Monitoring procurement costs and ensure adherence to budgetary limits.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and value engineering efforts.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and statutory regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and audit trails.
• Prepare periodic reports on procurement status, vendor performance, and risk assessments.
