Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an Associate Manager to lead billing planning and project controls for large EPC/Industrial projects from Mundra. The role focuses on end-to-end billing, SAP-based cost monitoring, and MIS reporting to support timely cash flows.

You will coordinate with Project, Procurement, Finance, Contracts, and Execution teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and adherence to budgets, while delivering regular dashboards and financial progress updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end project billing and cost control.
• Exposure to SAP-PS, MM, and Service Procurement modules.
• Experience in EPC/Industrial projects or similar sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project billing including RA, Final, and Service Certifications.
• Verify, certify, and process contractor bills per contracts; monitor billing status.
• Maintain billing trackers and support contract closure and final settlement.
• Operate SAP PS/MM/Service Procurement; monitor cost bookings and reports.
• Track PR/PO/SOI/SES/GRN/Invoices; ensure budgets vs. progress.
• Monitor milestones, budgets, cash flow; highlight bottlenecks.
• Prepare Daily/Weekly/MIS reports; develop project dashboards.

Purpose/Objective

• The Associate Manager - Billing Planning & Project Controls - will be responsible for end-to-end project billing management, SAP-based project cost monitoring, planning coordination, budget tracking, MIS reporting, and financial progress monitoring of project activities.
• The role requires close coordination with Project, Procurement, Finance, Contracts, and Execution teams to ensure timely billing, accurate cost control, effective planning, and smooth project execution.
• The position demands strong expertise in SAP, project billing processes, planning tools, and project controls to support management in achieving project milestones within approved budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Key Responsibilities Project Billing Management - Manage end-to-end contractor and vendor billing processes, including RA Bills, Final Bills, Reconciliation Bills, and Service Certifications.
• - Ensure timely verification, certification, and processing of contractor bills as per contractual terms.
• - Monitor billing status and coordinate with vendors, contractors, finance, and project teams to avoid delays in payment processing.
• - Maintain billing trackers and monitor pending bill positions for all project packages.
• - Support contract closure and final account settlement activities.
• SAP Operations & Cost Monitoring - Independently handle SAP transactions related to Project Systems (PS), MM, and Service Procurement modules.
• - Create and monitor SES, GRN, Material Consumption, Service Consumption, and project cost bookings in SAP.
• - Generate cost reports through SAP and ensure accurate project cost allocation.
• - Track PR, PO, SO, SES, GRN, Invoice, and Payment status.
• - Monitor commitments, actual expenditures, and balance budgets against approved project estimates.
• - Ensure compliance with SAP processes and project governance requirements.
• Planning & Project Controls - Monitor project schedules, milestones, and progress against approved baseline plans.
• - Coordinate with package managers and execution teams for timely progress updates.
• - Track physical progress versus financial progress and highlight deviations.
• - Identify critical bottlenecks impacting schedule, billing, and cash flow.
• - Support management in resource planning, forecasting, and project progress reviews.
• Budget & Financial Control - Monitor project budgets and cost utilization package-wise and project-wise.
• - Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual costs.
• - Prepare cash flow projections and expenditure forecasts.
• - Track committed costs and identify potential budget overruns.
• - Support project management team in budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.
• MIS & Reporting - Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS reports for management review.
• - Develop dashboards for project progress, billing status, budget utilization, and order tracking.
• - Generate management reports from SAP and Excel databases.
• - Present project performance data, billing updates, and cost status in review meetings.
• - Maintain project records and documentation for audit and compliance requirements.
• Stakeholder Coordination - Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Contracts, Stores, Planning, and Site Execution teams.
• - Liaise with contractors and consultants for billing clarifications and documentation.
• - Support internal and external audit requirements related to project billing and costs.
• - Ensure smooth communication among all stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience - 8 to 12 years of experience in Project Billing, Project Controls, Planning, Cost Monitoring, or EPC/Industrial Projects.
• - Experience in large-scale Manufacturing, Industrial, Infrastructure, Energy, Solar, or EPC projects will be preferred.
• Preferred Industry: EPC, Solar, Infrastructure, Industrial Construction, Manufacturing Projects
