Job summary

Alankar Automotives Pvt Ltd in Jaipur, Rajasthan, seeks an experienced Senior CNC Production Engineer to lead daily CNC production activities, plan based on capacity, and achieve targets. You will oversee CNC Turning, VMC, HMC, read G-Code/M-Code, manage tool life, monitor OEE, and drive continuous improvement with 5S and Kaizen.

Strong GD&T and engineering drawings skills required. You will collaborate with Quality, Maintenance and PPC teams to ensure on-time delivery and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering or relevant qualification.
• 810+ years of relevant experience in CNC Production / Machining / Manufacturing.
• CNC knowledge is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in CNC Turning / VMC / HMC.
• Strong knowledge of CNC Programming, G-Code, M-Code, offsets and tooling.
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily CNC production activities.
• Ensure achievement of daily, monthly and shift-wise production targets.
• Plan production based on machine capacity, manpower, material availability and delivery requirements.
• Handle CNC Turning, VMC and HMC machining operations.
• Monitor machine utilization, productivity, OEE and cycle time.
• Understand, read and edit CNC programs, G-Code and M-Code.
• Manage tool offsets, work offsets, tool selection and tool life.
• Optimize machining parameters and cycle time for productivity improvement.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and GD&T.
• Troubleshoot CNC machine and machining process-related problems.
• Monitor and reduce rejection, rework and machine downtime.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC and Tool Room departments.
• Manage and allocate production manpower according to machine and production requirements.
• Lead, guide and monitor CNC operators.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
• Prepare daily and monthly production reports, rejection reports, downtime reports and efficiency reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and production SOPs.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering or relevant qualification.
• 810+ years of relevant experience in CNC Production / Machining / Manufacturing.
• CNC knowledge is mandatory.
• Hands‑on experience in CNC Turning / VMC / HMC.
• Strong knowledge of CNC Programming, G-Code, M-Code, offsets and tooling.
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge and Height Gauge.
• Experience in production planning and target achievement.
• Knowledge of cycle‑time reduction, productivity improvement and machine utilization.
• Experience in rejection control, downtime reduction and process improvement.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.
• Strong team‑handling and problem‑solving skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Production MIS.
