Job summary

Acuity Knowledge Partners in Gurugram is seeking a finance professional with 4-7 years of experience to join the Private Markets division. You will support financial statements, GL reviews, reconciliations, and fund reporting while coordinating with auditors and onshore teams.

The ideal candidate holds an MBA in Finance or CFA/CA, demonstrates strong Excel and data analysis skills, and can manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• MBA (Finance) or equivalent with strong academic background in Accounting and Finance.
• Familiarity with Private Equity, Private Credit, or AI-enabled fund operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

Thejob role is in the Private Markets division at Acuity, one of the fastestgrowing segments within the firm. This opportunity is ideal for a privateequity /investment banking / strategy consulting professional who is interestedin working with leading global private equity funds and corporations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of periodic financialstatements, including the Balance Sheet, Statement of Operations, Statement ofChanges in Equity, Cash Flow Statement, and related disclosures in accordancewith applicable accounting standards.
• Assist in preparing financial statementssupporting schedules, lead schedules, reconciliations, and audit-ready workingpapers to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Perform General Ledger (GL) reviews, accountreconciliations, and variance analysis to identify and resolve accountingexceptions.
• Assist in the calculation and review ofmanagement fees, incentive/carried interest allocations, and related supportingschedules in accordance with fund governing documents.
• Support regulatory and statutory reportingrequirements by preparing schedules, data packs, and supporting documentation.
• Perform analytical reviews and tie-outsbetween financial statements, supporting schedules, trial balance, andunderlying accounting records.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-endclose activities, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations,and reporting deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders,auditors, and onshore teams to address queries and provide supportingdocumentation during financial reporting and audit cycles.

Additional Responsibilities:

• MBA (Finance), CFA (Level I/II), CA (Inter),or an equivalent qualification with a strong academic background in Accountingand Finance.
• Strong conceptual understanding of financialaccounting, financial statement preparation, and accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Private Equity, PrivateCredit, or Alternative Investment Fund structures will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, includingformulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis. Exposure to accounting orERP systems will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skillswith excellent attention to detail and a control-oriented mindset.
• Ability to interpret financial data, performreconciliations, and investigate variances logically.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skillswith the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
• Demonstrates a high learning agility,ownership mindset, and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environmentwhile managing multiple priorities.
• Good to have: Knowledge of AIcapabilities and practical business applications is a plus.
