Job summary

Acuity Analytics is seeking a senior finance professional to join its Private Markets division. The role targets experience in private equity, investment banking or strategy consulting, focused on modeling, evaluations and portfolio oversight.

You will lead client communications, manage a team, and collaborate with lenders, auditors and portfolio company management on deal execution and ongoing asset management activities.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis across industries.
• At least 4–6 years of experience in managing a team and client communications.
• Experience handling projects independently and performing financial due diligence.
• Advanced expertise in Excel including dashboards and complex formulas.
• Strong problem solving, analytical thinking, and ability to synthesize information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for project finance transactions and investment evaluations.
• Perform valuation analysis using DCF, comparable company, precedent transactions and NAV.
• Support project finance through due diligence, forecasting, debt sizing and lender reporting.
• Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, liquidity, and key risks.
• Prepare portfolio review reports and management presentations on performance and risks.
• Manage borrowing base compliance activities including collateral reviews and testing.
• Review borrowing base certificates and documentation for financing agreements.
• Monitor debt covenants and reporting obligations across portfolio companies.
• Conduct financial statement analysis, variance analysis, and identify key business drivers.
• Collaborate with investment teams, lenders, auditors, and portfolio company management.

The job role is in the Private Markets division at Acuity, one of the fastest growing segments within the firm. This opportunity is ideal for a private equity /investment banking / strategy consulting professional who is interested in working with leading global private equity funds and corporations.

Key Responsibilities

• Developed and maintained complex financial models for project finance transactions, investment evaluations, refinancing analyses, and strategic decision-making.
• Performed valuation analysis using methodologies including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis, Precedent Transactions, and Net Asset Value (NAV) approaches.
• Supported project finance transactions through financial due diligence, cash flow forecasting, debt sizing, scenario analysis, and lender reporting.
• Conducted detailed portfolio monitoring for multiple investments, assessing financial performance, covenant compliance, liquidity position, and key risk indicators.
• Prepared periodic portfolio review reports and management presentations highlighting investment performance, valuation changes, and emerging risks.
• Managed borrowing base compliance support activities, including collateral eligibility reviews, advance rate calculations, concentration limit testing, and reporting package preparation.
• Reviewed and validated borrowing base certificates and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with financing agreements and lender requirements.
• Monitored compliance with debt covenants, financing terms, and reporting obligations across portfolio companies and project finance structures.
• Performed financial statement analysis, variance analysis, and operational performance reviews to identify trends and key business drivers.
• Collaborated with investment teams, lenders, auditors, legal advisors, and portfolio company management on transaction execution and ongoing asset management activities.
• CFA/ MBA in Strategy, Finance, Operations or Economics
• 5-10 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, preferably across industries
• At least ~4-6 years of experience in managing a team, as well as, directly communicating with clients. Experience in managing client communication solo will be considered an added advantage.
• Experience in handling projects independently
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills, as evidenced by extensive experience in utilizing those skills in research and consulting environment. Adept at synthesizing information to generate insights
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (dashboards, financial models, complex formulas)
• Deep understanding of financial statements and accounting principles (GAAP)
