§ This position is in the Private Markets division at Acuity,one of the fastest growing segments within the firm. The position will reportto Associate Director, Private Markets
§ It will offer the opportunity to work with Private Equityteams of our clients across industries (technology, fintech, retail, financialservices, transportation etc.) and assist them in devising their deal sourcing,deal assessment, due diligence, portfolio monitoring and valuation activitiesincluding company/industry analysis, financial modeling (DCF, LBO), relativevaluation, etc.
§ Typical engagements would involve(but not be limited to) the following:
- Maintaining high quality in the below workflows byperforming quality checks, providing training, mentoring and upskilling juniors:
- o Financial spreading and valuationanalysis : Creation and updation of detailed financial modelsincluding DCF, M&A, LBO Models, trading & transaction comps, valuationanalysis via different techniques, through idea of company financial metrices
- o M&A and strategic analysis: Identification and analysis of potential targets throughanalysis of markets, products, services and financial synergies
- o Peer group benchmarking & competitionlandscaping: Identifying players operating in relevant industry, mapping themby geographies, sector or other parameters, benchmarking shortlisted players onvarious KPIs
- o Commercial due diligence support: Commercial due diligence of potential investment throughanalysis of the market opportunity, target company’s business model, itscompetitive positioning, etc.
- Overseeing the request intake process, includingparticipation in project scoping calls to improve understanding and preparedetailed project scope documents
- Preparing and driving the content of client- andprospect-related materials, including pitches, proposals, client marketingmaterials, and other associated offering documents and analyses
- Working with Investment Banking and BoutiqueAdvisory clients on work types including but not limited to pitchbook creation,industry research, valuation, capital market products, and idea/peer/targetidentification
- Motivating and managing a team of analysts, planningworkflows, and liaising with global clients to ensure that deadlines are met atthe required standard
- Contributing to process improvement, QC, andproviding value adds to the deliverables and automation of tasks
- Providing domain expertise in M&A and capitalraising activities
- Communicating clearly and confidently with internaland external stakeholders both written and verbal
- Providing strategicthought leadership through the authoring of blogs and whitepapers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Understand client requirement, scope projects, manage end-to-endexecution and delivery (work allocation, research, analysis, quality control,delivery)
- Translate client objectives into clear deliverables with associatedpriorities and constraints
- Experienced in all types of secondary research (databases, statisticsand ministry/ industry/ association websites), as well as general research(company websites, SEC Filings, research reports, news articles etc.) andprimary research involving discussions with industry players/ stakeholders
- Handle multiple workstreams, as required
- Take complete ownership ofall quality related aspects
- Lead projects independentlyand guide a team of analysts and associates in daily tasks to ensure that thework is on course to meet clients’ objectives
- Manage team morale to be able to navigatethrough pressure situations
- Provide effective, on-time and objectivefeedback to team members and be involved in their overall grooming anddevelopment
- Manage and maintainclient relationships – would include regular interaction with client(s) tostrengthen the relationship and identify opportunities to act as a solutionsprovider.
Additional Responsibilities:
- § 8-12years of experience working with Investment Banks and Boutique Advisory
- § Familiarityand expertise in a specific sector will be an added advantage
- § Experiencein complete delivery set-up, smooth roll-out of services and the implementationof best practices, feedback mechanisms, hiring and training the team
- § Goodknowledge of the products involved in the entire value chain of InvestmentBanking activities, including M&A and capital raising
- § Excellentunderstanding of the financial statements analysis
- § AMasters in Business Administration and/or a full/ part qualification in CFAwill be an added advantage
- § Ahighly analytical mind and a high level of attention to detail
- § Excellentwritten and spoken English communication skills
- § Astrong work ethics.
- Good to have : Knowledge of AIcapabilities and practical business applications is a plus.
