Job summary

CSML GROUP in Mumbai is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations, ensuring high service standards and guest satisfaction across departments.

You will lead the service team, monitor guest experience, and assist in managing costs, inventory, and food safety compliance while training staff and taking charge in the Manager’s absence.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in restaurant or F&B operations.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily restaurant operations.
• Supervise and coordinate the service team for smooth operations.
• Ensure high standards of guest service, food quality, presentation and hygiene.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline and performance.
• Brief the team before shifts about reservations, promotions and requirements.
• Handle guest queries, complaints and feedback professionally and resolve promptly.
• Ensure SOPs, service standards and company policies are followed.
• Monitor opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Bar, Housekeeping, Purchase and other departments.
• Monitor stock, inventory, wastage and proper usage of supplies.
• Assist in controlling operational costs and minimizing wastage.
• Ensure proper billing and cash-handling procedures.
• Assist in staff training, coaching and performance development.
• Support menu launches, promotions, events and functions.
• Prepare and maintain daily operational reports.
