Job summary

Premier Evolvics is seeking a Purchase Engineer Electronics with extensive experience in sourcing electronic components, PCB assemblies and related materials for R&D and manufacturing. You will handle supplier development, cost negotiation, planning and timely procurement, working closely with R&D and Engineering teams.

The role requires deep knowledge of electronic components, BOMs, cross-referencing parts, and ERP/MRP systems, with strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.

Qualifications

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Experience: 35 years in electronics procurement/purchase, preferably in industrial electronics or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of electronic and electrical components for R&D and production.
• Source components such as ICs, semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, connectors, relays, sensors, switches, cables, SMPS, displays and PCB assemblies.
• Understand BOMs, datasheets, specifications and part numbers from R&D and Engineering teams.
• Identify and develop reliable suppliers for electronic components and assemblies.
• Obtain and compare quotations based on price, quality, lead time, availability and specs.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions with suppliers.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer Electronics with 35 years of experience in procurement of electronic components, PCB assemblies and electrical/electronic materials.

The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, supplier development, cost negotiation, purchase planning, technical evaluation and timely procurement of electronic components required for R&D, production and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of electronic and electrical components for R&D and production requirements.
• Source components such as ICs, semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, connectors, relays, sensors, switches, cables, SMPS, displays, PCB assemblies and other electronic hardware.
• Understand technical specifications, datasheets, BOMs and component requirements received from the R&D and Engineering teams.
• Identify and develop reliable suppliers for electronic components and assemblies.
• Obtain and compare quotations based on price, quality, lead time, availability and technical specifications.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions with suppliers.

Technical Knowledge / Skills

• Good understanding of electronic components and their applications.
• Ability to read and understand BOMs, datasheets, specifications and part numbers.
• Knowledge of electronic component sourcing and vendor management.
• Experience in procurement of PCB, PCB assemblies, cables, connectors, sensors and industrial electronic components.
• Basic understanding of electronics is essential.
• Knowledge of alternate component identification and cross-referencing.
• Good negotiation and commercial skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of import/local procurement processes will be an advantage.
• Experience dealing with electronic component distributors, manufacturers and EMS/PCB vendors will be preferred.

Education & Experience

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)

Experience: 35 years in electronics procurement/purchase, preferably in industrial electronics, automation textile machinery or a manufacturing environment.
