Job summary

Welspun World in Thane, Mumbai, seeks an Assistant Manager- Tender with 3+ years experience to manage end-to-end tender cycles for the group.

You will coordinate with Sales, Technical, Finance, Legal and Distributors; prepare catalogues, ensure approvals, and handle GeM and Tender portals; SAP-based processes for DPR, payments, and tender submissions.

This role offers exposure to government and distributor tenders and requires proactive stakeholder management to secure timely orders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in tender management and government procurement.
• Hands-on experience with SAP for financial and tender processes.
• Familiarity with GEM, GeM portal and tender portals.

Responsibilities

• Create customer codes in SAP.
• Process DPR and advance payments in SAP.
• Participate in Tender and GEM processes.
• Review open tenders on Tender247.
• Identify relevant tenders with Sales.
• Coordinate with Sales/Category for product specs.
• Coordinate with Sales, Technical, Finance, Legal and Distributors for tender docs and approvals.
• Prepare catalogues, distributor letters, and specs for tender.
• Obtain internal approvals for tender participation.
• Participate in tenders on behalf of distributors/Welspun.
• Handle GeM portal clarifications for distributors/Welspun.
• Coordinate submission of EMD and ePBG as required.
• Inform Sales after tender award for timely order execution.
• Ensure complete tender cycle management and documentation.
• End to End Gem Portal management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Codes creations in SAP,
2. DPR and Advance Payment release from SAP
3. Participate in Tender and GEM (Government E-Marketplace) processes:
4. Reviewing open tenders on Tender247.
5. Identifying relevant tenders for Welspun products in coordination with the Sales team.
6. Reviewing technical specifications with the sales/category team for product confirmation.
7. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (Sales, Technical, Finance, Legal, and Distributors) to ensure timely completion of tender documentation and approvals.
8. Preparing catalogues, distributor authorization letters, and technical specifications for tender participation.
9. Obtaining all required internal approvals for tender participation.
10. Participating in tenders on behalf of authorized distributors/Welspun.
11. Handling GeM portal clarifications and queries for distributors/Welspun.
12. Coordinating the submission of EMD and ePBG as per tender requirements.
13. Informing the Sales team immediately after tender award to ensure timely order execution and delivery
14. Ensuring complete tender cycle management and appropriate documentation and approvals.
