Job summary

Qualifications

• Material Management: Maintain minimum stock levels and oversee storage/handling per GMP.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure SOPs ISO/cGMP compliant; maintain records and manage audits.
• Inventory Control: Verify stock vs SAP records; FIFO-based material handling and timely order execution.
• Team Management: Lead and train a high-performance team; ensure disciplined operations.
• Coordination & Communication: Liaise with purchasing; send invoices and GRN copies to Purchase.

Job description

Role Objective:

A key objective of this position is ensuring the efficient and compliant management of materials within the store, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.

The role encompasses the supervision of material storage, handling, and documentation processes, as well as coordination with other departments to ensure seamless operations and timely order execution.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 to 8 years of hands-on experience in overall store management within a pharmaceutical company operating in an SAP environment is required.
• Skills: Proficiency in SAP and other inventory management software, strong understanding of GMP guidelines, excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Certifications: Certification in supply chain management or inventory control is an advantage.

Role & Responsibilities:

Material Management

:

• Maintain minimum stock levels of critical items.
• Oversee material storage and handling as per GMP guidelines.
• Verify material with invoices and prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) through SAP.
• Issue materials as per FIFO (First In, First Out) against reservation slips.

Compliance & Documentation

:

• Ensure all procedures and documentation comply with GMP standards. Prepare, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain records as per ISO, SOP, and cGMP norms.
• Manage internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities (NC).

Inventory Control

:

• Maintain physical stock and regularly verify it against SAP records.
• Ensure timely order execution as per requirements.
• Handle inward, outward, rejected, and expired materials using FIFO system.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with inventory turnover ratios and material availability norms.

Team Management

:

• Create and manage a high-performance team.
• Conduct regular training sessions for employees to maintain quality standards.
• Utilize manpower effectively to achieve departmental targets.
• Foster a disciplined and motivated work environment.

Coordination & Communication

:

• Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Send all invoices and GRN copies to the purchase department promptly.
